An alternative film about the complexities surrounding mother-daughter relationships. All confessions were anonymously submitted by real women.

Dear Mom was inspired by a late-night conversation with a friend about the complexities revolving around mother-daughter relationships. The mindless nature of this exchange incited the idea to create an illustration series based on the incredibly raw and open discussion. Through this, it made me want to further explore this concept by creating a place where young women could submit their confessions in an anonymous manner. Therefore, the aspect of not knowing the identity of each individual paved the way for extremely personal stories—filled with vulnerability—to be conveyed.
